The Ohio Certified Public Manager (OCPM) Society is a professional association of
public sector managers. This organization was established in 2002.
The OCPM Society is affiliated with the American Academy of Certified Public Managers,
and is an accredited member of the National Certified Public Manager ® Consortium.
The OCPM Society promotes the OCPM Program in Ohio by providing opportunities to
give back to the program. Ohio Certified Public Managers are encouraged to mentor students in the OCPM Program.
Ohio Certified Public Managers are also encouraged to continue their education in
the areas of Leadership, Government, Administration & Organizational Skills, Analytical & Conceptual Skills, Technical,
Quantitative & Qualitative Skills, and Human Relations Skills.

When a CPM pays his/her annual dues to the OCPM Society, a portion of those funds
goes towards membership to the American Academy of Certified Public Managers (AACPM).
The OCPM Society hosts an Annual Conference which brings continuing education opportunities.
The OCPM Society provides its members with an opportunity to network with other certified
public managers. Networking opportunities are one of the most important aspects of the CPM experience. CPMs are
able to meet, work and learn from their peers.
The Ohio CPM Society has a Scholarship Fund. The Ohio
CPM Society Board will once again be rewarding three (3) $500.00 scholarships this year for currently enrolled OCPM Students.
The deadline to submit applications to the OCPMS Board is October 1, 2007. The recipients will be named at the 2007
OCPM Society Annual Fall Conference. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship to pay for OCPM classes, please
contact the OCPMS Board Member Services Committee Chair for an application.

The electronic edition of The Public Manager, a quarterly practitioner's journal dedicated to serving
those that work in and practice government management and leadership. The electronic edition of the journal is the exact
same content as the printed edition. It is distributed to members over the internet as a PDF file.
